Holiday Fun In New York City!

December 16, 2016

The holiday season in New York City is like an overstuffed Christmas stocking — there is so much to see and do!
Five seasonal activities that are worth the trip, include:
(1) The St. Regis Hotel (pictured above): The landmark hotel joins with Great Republic to transport visitors to the yuletide traditions of the Gilded Age (the era of the hotel’s founding family, the Astors) with its special decorations.
(2)  New York Hall of Science: Marvel at the collection of more than 1,020 homemade gingerbread houses covered in royal icing and candy at Gingerbread Lane.
(3)  Winter Village at Bryant Park: Ring in the holidays with some figure-8’s on ice at the only city market to feature free ice-skating on a 17,000-square-foot outdoor rink, restaurants, a Christmas tree, a carousel and hundreds of shops.
(4)  Holiday Train Show: Enjoy whimsical winter fun at the 25th annual Botanical Garden’s holiday train show, where model trains chug thru a display of 150 New York landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty.
(5)  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Musical: Based on the beloved 1964 television special, every child is reminded of Rudolph’s adventures as a misfit reindeer who eventually saves that special foggy Christmas Day for Santa.
