Colonial Capital Tours Celebrates Black History Month in Colonial Williamsburg

Colonial Capital Tours ( begins Black History Month celebrations in Colonial Williamsburg where stories of African Americans living during the 18th century come to life. Special programs explore the stories and culture of the many enslaved people of the times. Tour Peyton Randolph’s House and the Governor’s Palace from the perspective of enslaved men and women. Be enlightened by “We Look Back and Sing: An Evening with Willie Mae Jordan” and the new documentary, “The Amazing Nina Simone.” Round out your visit at the historic First Baptist Church in Williamsburg where the daily ringing of the bell will occur for the first time in generations.
