Colonial Capital Tours Celebrates Women’s History Month…

Continuing the work of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and others, Alice Paul fought to earn American women the right to vote. She organized a pivotal march on Washington D.C. on the eve of President Woodrow Wilson’s inauguration. She later led the first ever political march on the White House. Her efforts helped to inspire the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote in 1920.
